Twitter eBook
A fun side benefit of creating The Warm Milk Journal for me has been the discovery and (surprising) enjoyment of engaging in social media. Yes, I had a personal Facebook page. But as the writer and creator of The Warm Milk Journal, I started to put myself out there in a way I have never done before.
During the summer of 2010, I opened my Twitter account as @WarmMilkJournal
From the get go, I just loved Twitter. I loved sharing things with others on the internet. I found (and still do) Twitter to be fascinating and lot’s of fun. Before I knew it I had hundreds and then thousands of people following me. I feel I owe a lot to my success and engagement on Twitter to the great traffic I enjoy here at The Warm Milk Journal.
No matter what your interests are, you can find people on Twitter who share your interests. As The Warm Milk Journal, I have been out there tweeting about sleep issues, anxiety, and other things that interest me such as yoga, travel, good health, Hawaii (where I grew up), journal writing, etc.
Every now and then I will write a post about Twitter just for the fun of it. These have been some of my most popular and frequently visited posts.
A couple of examples: Tweet others the way you want to be tweeted: 15 lessons I’ve learned on Twitter and Top Ten Ways To Make Friends On Twitter, One Tweet At A Time
At this writing, I have 13,852 Twitter followers.
On TweetGrader, I am ranked 44,851 out of the 12,002,745 Twitter accounts open and have a “grade” of 100/100
On Twitaholic, I am ranked 53rd out of all accounts with a Florida location.
Over the last couple of years I have had a lot of family, friends, and colleagues ask me how I did this. So, I decided to write a book.
How Do You Twitter? A Crash Course On How to Get Popular Twittering was written to help anybody who wants to get started with Twitter but is not sure how. I packed a lot of information in this book to ramp up your learning curve fast. You can benefit from the hours I spent… those of you here on The Warm Milk Journal are already familiar with my voice and writing style… so do check it out if you want to get popular on Twitter too (it’s a lot of fun, I promise)!
