To live a well balanced, rewarding life of our dreams by day and sleep restfully at night.
Nothing is more difficult, and therefore more precious, than to be able to decide. ~Napoleon Bonaparte
I have a few questions for your journal writing today:
1. What would freedom from anxiety mean to you?
2. Do you feel like you are “stuck” with anxiety? If so, why is that?
3. If you decided here and now to be free from anxiety, would you want to make that commitment (even if you were not yet sure exactly what to do)?
Go ahead and explore, and just write.
I did this exercise. Later on in my next post I will share with you some insights I gathered from my writing…
Have a blessed day!
Debra
Your fortune is not something to find but to unfold.
~Eric Butterworth
This evening’s journal writing session is about fortune: the idea of finding, having, or discovering our fortune and also what makes us feel fortunate.
I encourage you to sit in a quiet place and meditate for a few minutes before writing. Visualize what “fortune” means to you. What does being fortunate mean to you?
When you are ready to, open your eyes and write down anything that comes to mind. Do not censor yourself. Just write.
Enjoy this exercise. You may find it interesting what comes out…
In peace,
Debra
Ten questions to ponder during your quiet journal writing time today:
1. What are some ways to live your life centered in love?
2. What can you let go of (think things, people, obligations, situations that no longer serve you).
3. What are you going to do for fun this weekend?
4. Who would you like to see (an old friend you haven’t seen in a long time?)
5. What is one new thing you can try that you’ve never done before?
6. How can you be more creative?
7. Who do you feel good around?
8. What activities put you in the blissful “flow” mode?
9. List all of the things you love.
10. List all of the things you appreciate.
Have a blessed day,
Debra
Seven writing prompts for your journal this morning:
1. List five things you are thankful for right now.
2. Spring is arriving. What do you love about this season? Write it down.
3. Think of three times recently when you felt appreciated and loved.
4. Describe your ideal day.
5. Describe your ideal career.
6. If something or someone is challenging you right now, what lesson are you learning from it?
7. Think of one random act of kindness to do today.
Now go and have the best day ever!
“As long as you are trying to be something other than what you actually are, your mind wears itself out”
~J. Krishnamurti
This morning as you are having your quiet wake up time, take a few deep breaths in and out. Sit and be still. Our hearts have an intelligence of their own if we are wise enough to listen.
Here are some questions for your journals or some things to think about today:
Have a blessed day,

It’s quiet, take care of yourself time. Get out your coffee or tea and journal. Sit and breathe for a few minutes. Clear your mind. One technique that really helps me center quickly is to ask myself: What will my next thought be? Then just wait (this idea I learned from Eckhart Tolle’s The Power of Now). It really works. Another meditation technique I like when I don’t have a lot of time is simply closing my eyes and going through the colors of the rainbow.
Now that you are centered, it is time to write. This session is going to answer the question : “What am I here for?”.
That’s it. I encourage you to not censor yourself. Just write down as much as comes out. It could come out as a long list of quickly jotted down ideas or a slowly written essay, depending on your mood.
I don’t have much time and I want to just see what will come out if I write quickly without thinking too much.
This is how mine would look right now.
I Am here for:
I could continue but it is now your turn…
Have a blessed day.

A journal writing session for today:
Have a blessed day,

One gift we can give ourselves is the gift of being quiet and still. Just be. If we can get and stay in that peaceful place even for a few minutes, it will have a positive effect on our day.
This morning, before the busy-ness of the day begins, grant yourself this time. This is a great time to write in our journals. When we get quiet and listen: listen to our own hearts, our own intuition, God, the universe etc. – it can be amazing what surfaces.
Here are a few ideas for your journal writing this morning:
Be sure to breathe and set a positive intention for your day.
Have a great one!
