To live a well balanced, rewarding life of our dreams by day and sleep restfully at night.
As I get closer to bedtime I think of all the love in my life.
Love comes in many forms and all of them are the stuff of sweet dreams and a rich life.
As you drift off to sleep tonight think of all the love you have in your life.
You are love.
You are loved.
The dreamy world of night is near
and with it I can let it go.
Let it go..
let it go.
And into the still silence I am weightless
and carefree
I Am light
I Am peace
No burdens exist to weigh me down
a floating cloud can be my companion
and any beautiful things I want my mind
can conjure up……
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To increase the chances of truly sweet dreams,
I rest on my pillow a head full of thanks,
I nestle into my bed a body
weary from an active day,
and I breathe,
I smile,
and I thank God for everything.
As I sink deeper I may think of things that delight me.
Sweet dreams.
One powerful way to use our journals is to write a “gratitude list” on a regular basis.
What we appreciate, appreciates.
What we focus on, grows.
Why not pay attention to the things in our life we are thankful for?
I know that if I am feeling a little down, this exercise really helps lift my spirits.
If I write this gratitude list down first thing in the morning, I set a positive framework for the whole day.
If I do this exercise right before I go to bed at night, I drift off to sleep with very happy and gracious thoughts; the stuff of sweet dreams!
Are you ready? I know I am….
Let’s see, what I am thankful for this morning:
1. Another day of life
2. The earache I had yesterday seems to be going away for my left ear feels better.
3. My coffee which my husband brewed for us and served me in bed is warm and wonderful.
4. I hear mowers outside cutting the lush green grass of our neighborhood and I am thankful that I live in such a beautiful a neighborhood.
5. I am thankful that I am going to have lunch today with a girlfriend I haven’t seen in a while.
I could keep going. I love writing gratitude lists!
Your turn!
Have a blessed day,
Debra
