For your journal writing tonight, think of areas in your life where you feel stuck. It can be related to your job, health, diet, relationships, general direction in life, etc.
We all have our “mental tapes”. Journal writing is a wonderful exercise to retrain and rewrite some of these tapes.
So, for instance, perhaps you feel you are “STUCK” in a dead-end job, living situation, weight, etc…..
Go ahead and list all the things where you feel stuck or at least a bit stagnant. Then go back and reword your phrases. You want to stop affirming what you are feeling stuck in (which will give you more of that) and re-write the script (which is your life by the way) to something more positive.
How about the concept of freedom? Not only being free of the thing(s) you are feeling stuck with- but free to do, be, experience, pursue WHAT YOU REALLY WANT!
Remember, what we focus on grows.
So, cross out the” stuck scripts” in your journal entry and write your freedom scripts.
For example, my freedom scripts for this entry might read:
1. I Am free to exercise my creativity.
2. I Am free to travel and visit any part of the world that I want.
3. I Am free to make a prosperous living using my talents, strengths, and passions.
4. I Am free of worrying about others’ opinions.
5. I Am free to be myself.
6. I Am free to experience my day however I want (whether it is a “work day” or a weekend day).
You get the idea. Go ahead and write. If you noticed, I did not even give any specific examples about what I feel currently stuck with in my life.
Why not go right into the good stuff of what I want in my life? FREEDOM.
Go ahead, write… I AM FREE… now write as much as comes out of you. You may find you go to sleep tonight with happy, liberating thoughts and a peaceful heart. Then you will wake up ready to live the REST OF YOUR LIFE ON YOUR TERMS ( and sleep very peacefully at night as well).
In Peace and Freedom, (and being UN-STUCK!)
