May You Sleep Like A Baby: A bedtime verse

May you sleep like a baby,

without a care in the world.

You are warm. You are light. You are love.

Lay your head down to rest.

Let your body go, ahh….

Your mind is still and at peace.

The day is done

but a new one begins soon…

So, for now, enjoy the rest.

Recharge. Renew.

Float and dream.

Tomorrow will come soon enough.

And when it does you will awake refreshed.

Your feet will land on the floor next your bed

as you walk in step : “thank you, thank you” for

another day of life.

Good night.

On this cold winter day, relax and think about and do things that comfort you. Get all warm and cozy. Brew that cup of tea. Curl up on your comfy couch. Get out that book, magazine, or journal. Just be. Dream. Ahhh……..

  1. My old fleece  unicorn blanket that I have had since college (a very long time ago now)
  2. My soft green bathrobe
  3. Making soup!
  4. lit candles
  5. crackling fire in fireplace
  6. Cinammon sticks, cloves, and apple slices in water simmering on stovetop
  7. Good coffee or tea
  8. Warm milk
  9. My fuzzy socks
  10. Having my cats, Patches and Mew close by
  11. Having my fiance close by
  12. Smiles and hugs
  13. A good movie
  14. watching the antics of birds and squirrels on feeders and bird bath in back patio
  15. Poetry
  16. Gentle stretching
  17. Sunshine filtering through the window
  18. Soft jazz music
  19. Thinking about all the good I do and all the good that I Am
  20. Thinking of all the good people out there and all of the good that they are doing
  21. Knowing that this world isn’t so big after all: we have more in common with each other than differences, we are really not ever alone.

With love,
