Letting go
release
that is peace.
Holding tightly onto
things, people, or ideas
will only keep us on a tense tightrope
of expectations waiting to be dashed
from circumstances outside of our control.
Why give our peace away to such folly when we can simply let it all go?
Yes, LET IT GO.
In peace,
Debra
When I am feeling stressed, overwhelmed, and anxious I find it helpful to do these ten things:
1. Unplug for a while (yes, get off my computer and phone!)
2. Sit outside and take in the sights and sounds of the natural world all around me.
3. Read something that spiritually nourishes me.
4. Read something for pure relaxation (a women’s health or yoga magazine for example).
5. Write in my journal.
6. Draw.
7. Take a walk.
8. Stretch
9. Focus on my blessings.
10. Connect with loved ones and friends.
What can you do to relax right now?
Have a blessed day,
Debra
My cat Mew is a lot of things but stressed and anxious he is not. He is one laid back, mellow fellow.
His twelve tips for anxiety reduction (or elimination):
Mew (and Debra dictating for Mew this evening)
When you think about the absurdities of your job, give them the boot! They have no power over you.
When you want to feel sorry for yourself, give that desire the boot! No pity parties here.
Whatever is not working in your life, give it the boot!
Whatever is not nourishing you (unsupportive people, old clothes hanging in your closet you never wear, knickknacks cluttering about your home collecting dust, etc.) give it the boot!
That’s right, you can kick some you know what!

Blessed tranquility. When I am stressed and perceive life as being challenging it gets difficult to be serene, peaceful, and tranquil.
When I am in a more peaceful state, I see things more optimistically. There is no question that I am feeling better about myself and my life when I am calm. How to get there?
Today is Sunday, the day for rest. Here are five ideas for taming the tension in your life and moving towards greater tranquility.
In the peace of a calm and quiet space all things are possible. The body is calm. The mind is calm. The soul is soothed and nourished. In noisy chaos that is just not the case. The body is stressed. The mind is agitated. The soul feels depleted.
What can you do to get more calm in your day?
In calm and peace,
Debra

Stress is a part of life. How we deal with it will impact the hold it does or does not have on the quality of our lives. Some things will pass and we are putting unnecessary stress on ourselves for worrying about it. Other issues do need to be addressed and the sooner the better!
