To live a well balanced, rewarding life of our dreams by day and sleep restfully at night.
We are adrift if we:
1. are busy trying to please others (at the expense of our own well-being and life’s goals).
2. frequently distract ourselves with vapid amusements (that help us procrastinate)
3. don’t believe in ourselves
4. lose our faith
5. get overwhelmed
6. over-commit ourselves…
We are anchored if we:
1. Have faith in God
2. Believe in ourselves
3. Know we are making our dreams come true
4. Get enough exercise and eat well
5. Enjoy the outdoors frequently
6. Focus on love
7. Go for what we know we want..
The choice is ours, of course…
It’s not hard to make decisions when you know what your values are. ~Roy Disney
In Peace,
Debra
Act as if:
You are bigger than your challenges,
You are living the life of your dreams,
and you are excited about all the possibilities…
Act as if:
You enjoy radiant energy and good health,
You slept great,
and feel centered and at peace.
Act as if
Today is going to be the best day of your life…
for you are creating something new each time you focus and
each time you take a blessed breath.
To be thankful for things that are easy to take for granted until you don’t have them…
Have you ever had a toothache, a bladder infection, been hung over, etc. and wish you felt better?
Have you ever had an unexpected or regular bills piling up amounting to more than what you have in your bank account?
Here’s a novel idea: how about feeling gratitude when we have our health, we are pain free, we are well rested, and we have enough money in the bank?
Let’s be thankful for what we do have NOW.
In your journal write a list of things to be thankful about now.
I am thankful for:
1. Being alive
2. My daughter being happy
3. Having enough money to send my daughter to a nice Girl Scout summer camp this July
4. My kind and loving husband
5. My students who are still learning despite it being very close to the end of our school year…
6. I don’t have a headache
7. I am centered and anxiety/worry-free at the moment…
Your turn, Dear Warm Milk Reader. What do you have going on to be thankful for? It sometimes can be the littlest of things.
Goodnight,
Debra
