NOW

In the wonder of it all there is no time to be:
bored,
angry,
resentful,
or at loose ends.
For each day is what is given to us. We are here now and that is all we really have: NOW

So I suggest that NOW is the time to be:
thankful,
joyful,
playful,
and happy.

Morning or night, gratitude lists in our journals is a powerfully beneficial exercise

 

One powerful way to use our journals is to write a “gratitude list” on a regular basis.

What we appreciate, appreciates.

What we focus on, grows.

Why not pay attention to the things in our life we are thankful for?

I know that if I am feeling a little down, this exercise really helps lift my spirits.

If I write this gratitude list down first thing in the morning, I set a positive framework for the whole day.

If I do this exercise right before I go to bed at night, I drift off to sleep with very happy and  gracious thoughts; the stuff of sweet dreams!

Are you ready? I know I am….

Let’s see, what I am thankful for this morning:

1. Another day of life

2. The earache I had yesterday seems to be going away for my left ear feels better.

3. My coffee which my husband brewed for us and served me in bed is warm and wonderful.

4. I hear mowers outside cutting the lush green grass of our neighborhood and I am thankful that I live in such a beautiful a neighborhood.

5. I am thankful that I am going to have lunch today with a girlfriend I haven’t seen in a while.

I could keep going. I love writing gratitude lists!
