A lot of people start blogs. Sadly, many quit after just two or three months. So much inspiration and enthusiasm are present at the start and then what happens? Perhaps people run out of things to write about or their traffic is not what they thought it was going to be so they give up.
“Consider the postage stamp: its usefulness consists in the ability to stick to one thing till it gets there”. ~Josh Billings
There are probably as many reasons people quit blogging as there are reasons why they decide to blog in the first place. If you have a blogging idea that you are excited about, I don’t want your blog to die and join the blog graveyard before it (and you, the writer) get a chance to flourish.
“The greatest oak was once a little nut that held its ground”. ~Author Unknown
All good things worth doing take time and are worth the effort! This includes your blog!
Blogging for me has been one of the most satisfying and rewarding experiences of my life. With this book, I primarily wish to help you with two things:
1. How to start a blog
2. Once you have a blog set up, how to keep it going… in other words: how to keep your blog alive!
People start blogs for many reasons including: Promoting a business, a creative outlet, for fun, to make money, and to improve employment opportunities.
I started my own blog, The Warm Milk Journal, about two and a half years ago. In a nutshell, my site is about living the life of your dreams by day and sleeping restfully at night. All my life, I have struggled with anxiety and insomnia. The Warm Milk Journal is my way of supporting others with similar issues. Along the way, I have met a lot of incredible people, learned a lot about website development and internet marketing, found my voice as a writer, built the foundation of an exciting new career, and have had an absolute blast in the process.
Every day I learn something new. Doors of opportunity are opening up all around me now. I get thousands of visitors each month. Why? I love what I am doing and most importantly, I have stuck with it! I didn’t give up after the first couple of months. This is what I want for you and your blog.
If you read this book you can benefit from my trials and errors and ramp up your learning curve quite a bit. I will give you many ideas and tips to keep you motivated with your blogging efforts.
Are you ready to begin?
