Prayer and a Good Night Sleep

I believe that it is often the simple things in life that make the greatest impact on the quality of our days. One such example is the power of prayer. One does not need to be a monk or nun to receive the benefits of prayer. Taking a moment first thing in the morning, at bedtime, and anytime during the day when you need to pause and get centered... can make such a difference in your attitude during the day and how well you sleep at night. 

When we retire at the end of the day, it is best to feel thankful for the day we just lived, be at peace in our minds, and have a heart filled with gratitude. It's also a boost if we go to bed looking forward to something about the next day. Anticipation is sweet and can only happen when we are in a positive state of mind.  

Today, may we:

focus on the good in our lives,

send love to those who may be challenged in some way,

and go to bed tonight with a grateful heart.
