What Peace Means to Me...

Tonight's Journal Writing Exercise

The mission here at The Warm Milk Journal is to live the life our dreams by day and sleep restfully at night. I happen to know that what we focus on expands so why not give some attention to one thing that will help us fulfill our mission: PEACE....

Tonight (or this morning), I simply invite you to write about what peace means to you. I encourage you to use all of your senses...so what does peace look like, sound like, smell like, feel like? Deep down, intuitively how do you KNOW peace?

This I am sure will be a meaningful writing time for you. As I do often, I will write a bit of my own to get us started and then you have a go at it in your own journal. Please know that there is no right or wrong way to do this. Just feel, breathe, and write. Ready?

Peace: what it means to me....

Peace within myself would mean... less reaction and more emotional stability, more acceptance and less judgment, less stress and more relaxed, what will be will be attitude...

Peace to me looks like: smiles, diversity and different opinions co-existing in our communities, nature in all her glory (a sunset, a garden, animals doing their thing, a hike in the woods, an expansive view of the ocean or from the mountain top)...

Peace sounds like water running (rain, waterfall, ocean waves crashing, garden fountain)...

Peace also sounds like the birds in my back yard and the silence of two people together just enjoying their quiet together...

Peace smells like: the coffee pot brewing, the air after a good rain storm, jasmine, and cinnamon and cloves simmering on the stove...

Peace feels like gratitude in my heart, head, and stomach. It comes when I know all is well and I have faith in God, myself, and our world...

Peace IS love.

Peace. I am peace.

Your turn...

In Peace,

Debra
