Three Proven Stress Busters

An anxious and stressed out body and mind does not set us up for a restful night. So when it comes to getting a good night sleep, I recommend these three proven stress busters:

  1. Spend time with people you enjoy being around. Simple and true. Be careful of who you spend the most time with. Their energy is contagious. Choose companions who are fun, supportive of you, and who make things easy (life is just too short and a good night sleep is just too precious to waste our time with negative, stress-producing folks).   
  2. Spend time outdoors as much as possible. The color green is soothing, the fresh air is good for us, and we are part of the natural world so it is good to connect with it. 
  3. Enjoy great music. Music lifts our spirits. There is no doubt about it. I love listening to great jazz music when I am cooking and playing cards with my husband, classical music when I am writing, and fun dance music to jump around the living room to and get some exercise. What types of music make you feel good and glad to be alive? Turn it on!
Life is to be enjoyed. Why stress?
