
The options of life can be so overwhelming at times. We live during a time where there is just massive amounts of information at our fingertips at any given time, no matter where we are. If we find ourselves drifting and getting lost in the sea of busy-ness and too much of everything we can: shut down, burn out, stress, worry, not sleep, procrastinate, be indecisive, drift,give others or circumstances our power, lose our confidence in ourselves, be irritable, depressed, etc.
When I get in this anxious state, I know I need to just slow my mind down. A good walk or time to sit and read and write in my journal may be all I need. I breathe. Then I ask myself this one question: “What is the most important thing right now?”. If I focus on doing that one thing, I know I am doing the right thing and I am centered and feeling good.
I encourage you to ask yourself this question when you are feeling stressed and overwhelmed.
