A basic belief we have here at The Warm Milk Journal is that there is a connection between how we live by day affects how we sleep at night. Having enthusiasm during the day means we are experiencing joy and a positive energy in our lives.
Fulfilling, joy filled days increases the chance of our sleeping well at night.
How can you get more enthusiasm into our days? Here are ten ideas:
Cultivate an attitude of gratitude. Be thankful for what you have.
If you are not happy with what you are doing for a living or you find yourself in unhealthy relationships: gather the courage to create positive change for your life.
Look for the beauty in little things.
Do not over commit. Learn to say no. Spend your time on activities that truly have meaning for you.
Remember to have fun: play and laugh. Lighten up!
Do things you are good at and enjoy.
Try new things on a regular basis. You may surprise and delight yourself into a new experience, hobby, relationships, etc…
Think of all the good you bring to others and our world. You are needed, appreciated, and significant!
Write a list in your journal of people, places, and experiences that put a spring into your step. I guarantee you will be smiling and feeling pretty good after this journal entry.
