When do you feel your best? A journal writing exercise

When do you feel your best? When do you really feel like you are “on your game”?

During your quiet journal writing time today or this evening, think about times in your life when you feel or have felt great, like you can conquer anything. What caused that great energy, do you think?

For example, my journal entry might be something like this-

I feel my best and really “on” when:

  1. I get a good night sleep
  2. I am healthy
  3. I’ve been working out and I feel strong
  4. I feel appreciated by my employer, friends, or family
  5. I feel loved and supported
  6. I am focused on a particular goal
  7. I am focused on something I care passionately about
  8. I have been eating well and don’t let my blood sugar crash
  9. I’m on the verge or have just figured something out that I didn’t know how to do before
  10. I am eagerly anticipating something
  11. I am thinking with a glass half full mentality

Your turn.

What we focus on grows. Why not focus on the good stuff when we are feeling great? We have it within us to be and do anything we want. We can do so at our ease if we are taking care of ourselves and doing the things, putting ourselves in situations and relationships with others that support us.

Have a blessed day
