“I love sleep because it is both pleasant and safe to use”- Fran Lebowitz. The Warm Milk Journal’s Mission

Sleep is a wonderful thing!  When we get it we have energy, we think clearly, we feel cheerful, and we are on the top of our game.

When we do not get a good night sleep, we feel terrible: body aches, sluggishness, brain foggy, eyes red, headache, cranky and irritable, etc.

We know we need sleep to feel and perform our best. Here at the Warm Milk Journal, my mission is to provide you, the reader, ideas and inspiration to help you get regular blessed, restorative sleep. The posts here offer a variety of things.

Here is the Warm Milk Journal “Recipe”:

Some goals for the future of the Warm Milk Journal:

This site is a journey and a work in progress. Like anything else, it will take time to grow and offer everything I want it to. Eventually, The Warm Milk Journal will also offer:

  1. interviews with sleep experts and other professionals
  2. interviews with everyday people who are struggling with insomnia and anxiety issues
  3. heartwarming bed time stories
  4. humorous tidbits to get us smiling and laughing
  5. puzzles
  6. a Warm Milk Journal store where you can find high quality products that promote good sleep and well being

I appreciate all of you who have discovered The Warm Milk Journal and have written in your thoughtful comments. Do bookmark this site or sign up for the newsletter. I am committed to posting high quality content several times a week. I am a school teacher and this summer I will have two whole months off  to devote even more time to this project. I want this site to be of value to you. I spent many years battling anxiety, panic attacks, and many nights tossing and turning or pacing the halls of my home in the middle of the night. I know how challenging and frustrating not feeling centered and not getting a good night sleep can be.

Thankfully, I am at a point in my life where I have found peace, excellent health, and have never been happier. I am sleeping well these days (with the exception of being woken up by a cat or a snoring partner).

It is my wish for you, dear Warm Milk Journal reader , to enjoy peace, good health, be happy, and enjoy sound restful sleep every night!
