5 Signals of Sleep Deprivation

Sleep deprivation doesn’t necessarily happen overnight. Gradually over time, our bodies can go into a sleep debt situation. Our bodies give us some signals.

  1. We are having a hard time making decisions
  2. We are eating a lot but still feel hungry
  3. We keep coming down with colds
  4. We are weepy and emotional
  5. We are klutzy

What can we do to erase this sleep debt?

  1. Get morning sun exposure
  2. Exercise in the early evening
  3. Work on something that interests and challenges us during the day
  4. Eat a balanced diet. Limit sugar intake
